Suspect At Large In Maryland After Assaulting 7-Eleven Clerk, Stealing Property: Police

Surveillance footage has been released of a suspect who attacked an employee with pliers in an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven in Montgomery County, authorities say.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Major Crimes Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who committed an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven on Sunday, July 10.

Investigators are hoping releasing the footage will assist in identifying the suspect who robbed the store in the 15800 block of Frederick Road the afternoon of Sunday, July 10, according to Montgomery County Police.

The male suspect entered the store around 3:15 p.m., and went behind the counter to demand that the victim give him property, police said. The suspect then charged at the employee with a set of pliers and began punching his victim. 

The suspect stole property before running out of the store, investigators noted. 

He is described as a Black male, around 6 feet tall. He was wearing a grey knit cap, black face mask, a white towel around his neck, a red hooded sweatshirt, and black pants.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Callers may remain anonymous.
